Welcome to Nest

I believe that I offer many characteristics that would benefit the Nest organization. To begin, I love traveling, gaining international or cultural experience, and meeting people with different backgrounds than my own. Through studying abroad and spending time in other countries, I've learned how to handle myself in unfamiliar situations. I'm now able to break through cultural or language barriers and connect with others on a deeper level of communication; I value my interpersonal skills. In Honduras, I was moved by a woman who created a program that provides food, education, and housing to one of the poorest neighborhoods of Tegucigalpa, the capital city. The fact that I've seen and experienced her work first hand inspired me to continue doing what I can to help others. Therefore, the mission at Nest really speaks to me. I understand the importance in realizing the power of one woman and how she can benefit and help to provide for an entire community.
